A new painting, that really emphasizes the relationship I feel towards animals! I LOVE my dog CJ, and I can’t imagine life without him. A gentle, sweet friend that is always by my side. I also have a pet turtle, she has been our family pet since I was four! Hard to imagine her not being around either.
I noticed lately a lot of other artists talking about their animals. Jessica Swift and her two adorable cats. Gemma Correll and her pug! These are just to name a few. I was especially sad when I heard about Camilla Engmans dog, Morran, but the outpouring of art amazes me. Marisa from Creative Thursday wrote a really sweet post about Camilla’s dog Morran. She also has her own pair of furry friends. It really does show that our furry and non-furry friends have an impact on us, our art, and the world.
I know i’ve posted about CJ before, but I’d like to officially introduce you to him. This is CJ…
He is a black labrador retriever that me and my husband adopted from a rescue back in 2005. CJ was malnourished, had hookworm, and heartworm when we adopted him. Needless to say he has overcome all those obstacles and is no worse for the wear. He loves food, walks, playing fetch, and belly rubs.
