Through the Looking Glass

Through the glass

I saw a hummingbird the other day, I watched it as it flitted around the garden, stopping at each flower, showing off it’s amazing ability to move its wings so fast they are just a blur. Appearing as if hovering, not so much flying.

A part of me really wanted to have my camera on hand, but  I was frozen, captured, captivated by this amazing creature. Nature is astounding if you catch it from the right perspective, when you take the time to immerse yourself in it, to pause, take the blinders off, and be open to the animals, plants, flowers, sky, trees, insects that pass by us each and every day.

I’ve been immersed in planting things lately, trees, bushes, flowers, and even a fruit & vegetable garden. I have been giving in a little to letting the things that most call to me be a bigger part of my life lately, even if that means less time here in this space, and even my studio.

I’m not exactly sure where I’m going with this post, but I guess I just wanted to tell you it’s ok to pay more attention to what you need most right now in this moment. Maybe even try to make it a little bit bigger part of your life and see how the path unfolds. I’m going to see how this path unfolds…
